Somewhere between walking and rock climbing lies mountaineering, or scrambling. From grade 1 routes like Jack's Rake in the Langdales through to grade 3 Pinnacle Ridge on St Sunday Crag, the routes are part of a journey through the mountains. Join The Lakes Mountaineer and be guided up the routes or come and learn the skills to become independent.
I'm Ben, a qualified Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor and Winter Mountain Leader. I deliver all the courses, experiences and adventures. I have over 25 years of experience of leading and instructing in the mountains.
One of the best things about the mountains is that they treat everyone the same. Similarly, I welcome everyone and anyone to enjoy days out with me in the mountains, whatever your background, level of challenge, knowledge or ability.
